Progress again

Renascence lady is progressing nicely although I am not working that much on her at the moment. I have been a little to busy working, writing on my master theisis and applying for real jobs (which is really scary, what if nobody wants me after five years at uni?).

Back to the stitching, I know it’s hard to tell but the fabric is green.

Thank you for all the encouragement on the last post, I really need that when I am working on a big project (I tend to give up when I get close to the end).

Progress on Renaissance lady

Here comes a progress picture of Renaissance lady. So far it has been fun to work on and coming a long fast even though it is a rather big project.

I haven’t been blogging in a while and the reason for that is that I haven’t been finishing anything. I have worked on an Archie the bear design that I only have a little backstitching left on. But I got tired of al the tiny stitches that rarely wanted to go in the holes so I took a break and did this cute and simple bear design, I am going to make it in to a card for a friend whose birthday I forgot.

Then I got the fabric for Renaissance woman from the March issue of cross stitcher so I couldn’t help but start it. Here is my progress so far:

Introducing Charlie Bear

Charlie bear is designed by Margaret Sherry and was featured in the February issue of World of cross stitching. He looked a little bit lonely so I added a frame.

I don't know what is up with my camera the picture just keeps turning out really dark no matter if I take them in daylight or straight under a lamp…. So let’s just say that Charlie looks better in real life.

Summer and frogs

Time for another update! First finished project to show off comes from All our yesterday and was published in DMC Cross stitch favourites and is called Off to the beach. To me it just screamed summer and it was a fun and fast project.

Second there is this small project called Frog antics which I bought from cross-stitching.com over a year ago but haven’t gotten around to doing until now. I think I will turn it in to a card.

Bunnies and a cat

I have now finished the country bunnies, cute but a little colourless as DBF said. The backstitching took forever.

I have also finished this Margaret Sherry design called Up up and away. I bought the pattern of the Swedish version of ebay, it comes from “Cross stitch quick and easy” but I don't know which issue.

I have now switched to the beta version of blogger, and so far I have no complaints.

Happy valentines day

Okay it’s after midnight so it’s not Valentines Day anymore. And we (me and DBF) don’t really celebrate it, anyway, first I want to show you this frog from the February issue of Cross Stitcher. Yet another Joan Elliot design, I really love stitching her designs at the moment. I have ordered her book Cross stitch sentiments and sayings so there are more designs coming up!

Secondly a progress picture of Country Bunnies that I got of patterns online.

Lili: They loved the baby afghan and were amazed that I had made it myself, thank you for all the encouragement!

Blogger seems to want me to switch to the beta-version, has anyone else done that? Is it better?
